For parents

Chobots Blogs is run by the same team as Chobots, with the same safety rules. Here is how it works.

Who can write

Only a signed-in Chobots account can write. An account that is not allowed to chat in the game cannot write here either.

A child's account can make a blog and write drafts, but nobody else can see any of it until a parent or guardian has said yes. Chobots emails the guardians linked to the child in the Parents Centre, with the blog's name and the child's first post, and a yes and a no. You can change your mind at any time, and the blog becomes private again at once.

No guardian linked yet? Add your child in the Parents Centre at parents.chobots.net, and they can ask again.

Who can write to your child

Any signed-in player can leave a comment under a post or in a guestbook, through the same word filter as the game's chat. There are no private messages here: everything that is written is on a page that moderators can see.

Your child can comment on other blogs whenever their account is allowed to chat in the game, whether or not they have a blog of their own. Chat is switched on or off in the Parents Centre.

Whoever owns a blog can remove any comment on it, and can switch comments off in the blog's Settings.

No Chobots account of your own? Write to [email protected] to report something, or to have your child's blog removed.

What can be written

Everything typed (posts, comments, titles, labels) goes through the same word filter as the game's chat.

On a free blog, and from any child's account, pictures come only from a library of the game's own art. Writers cannot add files or code. An address in a post becomes a link only when it is one of Chobots' own sites or blogs, never another website.

With a Cosmonaut Pass or on a group blog, an account that is not a child's can also upload pictures and add a video from YouTube or TikTok. The rules forbid photos and videos of real people and anything that shows who or where someone is. Hidden information, such as where a photo was taken, is removed from every picture before it is kept. Moderators are shown every new picture and can take one down.

Moderation

Any signed-in reader can report a post, a comment or a blog. A reported post or comment is hidden at once until a moderator has looked.

Moderators also read new posts and comments without waiting for a report, and can hide content or pause a writer. Every moderator action is recorded.

The first post from a new account is read by a moderator before anyone else can see it. Accounts with some history in Chobots are not made to wait.

Privacy

A blog shows the player's Chobots name and game facts such as level. It never shows an email address or real name, and we remind writers on every page not to share personal details.

A child's Chobot picture and a link to their profile appear only if you have made their profile public in the Parents Centre.

There are no adverts and no trackers, and blog pages run no code of ours. A post can hold a YouTube video, shown in YouTube's own frame. The Privacy Policy lists everything that is kept.

A blog's owner can delete it, and everything on it, at any time, unless the team is still looking at something on it.
